Week 1 Ritual
Returning to Breath
In moments of overwhelm, the body often forgets its natural rhythm.
This ritual invites you to pause, slow down, and reconnect with the breath that has been carrying you all along.
You only need a few minutes.
What You Need
• A quiet place to sit
• Three minutes of uninterrupted time
• Your breath
The Ritual
Step 1 — Settle In
Sit comfortably.
Allow your shoulders to soften and your hands to rest gently in your lap.
Step 2 — Notice the Breath
Without changing anything yet, simply notice your breathing.
Where do you feel it most?
Your chest? Your belly? Your throat?
Step 3 — Deepen the Rhythm
Now inhale slowly through your nose.
Let the breath travel all the way down into your belly.
Exhale gently through your mouth.
Repeat this slow rhythm for five breaths.
Step 4 — Allow the Body to Respond
As you continue breathing, notice the body beginning to soften.
Your jaw loosens.
Your shoulders release.
Your mind begins to quiet.
You do not have to force peace.
You only have to remember the breath.
Closing Reflection
Before moving on with your day, take one final slow breath.
Notice the difference between how you felt before this ritual and how you feel now.
Carry this rhythm with you.
